She thought it would be warmer in Wisconsin since she had been there once before (in the summer).
Oh, the humiliation the little Florida dog is made to suffer.
Now that's more like it!
We have lots more photos to post but here's the encapsulated version of what we've been doing. Cooking the specialties -- cheesy potato casserole, lasagne, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken and dumpling soup. My going away meal will be a big old homemade chicken pot pie.
There's been the requisite visit to the Leinie Lodge for free beer samples, Sunday afternoon spent treating Border's like a library with refreshments and a road trip to the Mississippi River at Pepin, WI to see some bald eagles. Yep, saw some flying around but we were too in awe to take pictures!
Denise and I also spent some quality time bundled up in our blankies and catching up on our reading. Check out this website and maybe you'll want to join: http://www.shelfari.com/o1517350895/shelf?ec=7D8217163632S18012
Personally, I'm finding Oprah's webinars on Eckhart Tolle's A New Earth very interesting. The concepts Eckhart presents can be a little deep, though, and once in a while I end my reading session wondering if there are really only two of me and whether we can EVER get together. Check out http://www.oprah.com/ for more on this and you can watch the webinars online.
We worked on some decorating projects as well. Can you guess which photo is from Tom's design portfolio?
Also celelebrated my birthday with the progeny and here are the lovely spring flowers I received from my better half.
During my winter vacation I've spent quite a bit of time setting up shop on http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5683003 as an alternative to art shows. With our tentative living arrangements we so far don't have any shows scheduled in 2008, so please tell all your friends where to find our stuff! We plan to eventually list our glass art also and maybe more. You can support all manner of starving artists and score yourself some really cool items on Etsy -- not just jewelry!
Finally, the "P" and I are scheduled to return to Tampa tomorrow, although as the day wears on that probability is turning to an iffy possibility. Even though we celebrated ostara, the vernal equinox, yesterday with the traditional corned beef hash meal it appears someone forgot to let Mother Nature know it is supposed to be spring. According to my calculations we have gotten easily 3-4 inches of snow already today. I'll sign off for now with a couple of today's photos. Don't you wish you were here?
